Welcome to Conwy Golf Club

... Home for the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open for the past two years and the venue for the prestigious European Amateur Team Championship during July 2009.

Set in a spectacular location along the North Wales coast, our links provide a great test of golf all year round, as one would expect of an Open Qualifying course and  whilst we strive to maintain these high standards, our objective is also to ensure that our members, visitors and societies enjoy their golf here.

And once you have completed your round, come and enjoy the magnificent views of the course from our modern clubhouse, with a drink or two and a bite to eat from our wide-ranging bar & restaurant menu.

In the lead-up to the Ryder Cup in 2010, we anticipate that many golfers are coming to Wales for the very first time and believe that Conwy Golf Club is a must on your itinerary! We look forward to welcoming you. Tee booking is available online or contact admin@conwygolfclub.com in order for us to arrange your golf at Conwy.

Societies are very welcome and Corporate Days are also available - Conwy is a venue for Andrew Murray Golf Corporate Club Events, but we can also tailor a day to suit your requirements.

Here's what their clients had to say - "the friendliness of all the staff from kitchen to green to pro shop was a credit to what is truly a spectacular golf club"

Membership is currently available at Conwy, and for the period January 2009 to March 2010, we currently offer a 15 month subscription of £570 for gentlemen and £540 for ladies, with no entrance fees. For further information please contact admin@conwygolfclub.com. We have also re-opened our country membership which is available at £400

"I can’t wait to play Conwy again, it’s an awesome course", Sam Torrance

"One of my favourite links courses. Fabulous views on a brilliant golf course with great catering – what more!"  Andrew Murray

Volunteers needed to keep golf on course

More than 150 volunteers will get the chance to rub shoulders with some of Europe’s best women golfers when the S4C Wales Championship of Europe comes to Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club in August.

Event organisers are looking for people who are willing to give their time to be volunteer marshals between 12th and 15th August when top names in European women’s golf battle it out for a share of the £300,000 prize fund.

With support from Conwy County Borough Council, the championship is part of the Ryder Cup Wales Summer of Golf programme, a series of events played throughout Wales, promoting Wales as a golfing destination in the lead up to The 2010 Ryder Cup at The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.

Rob Holt, Chief Executive of Ryder Cup Wales, said: “As with any sport, the help from our volunteers is crucial in ensuring the event runs like clockwork. Their work on and off the course and behind the scenes is vital for the smooth running of the tournament and we are hugely grateful to all who give up their free time to help with the event.

“Volunteers will be provided with a commemorative branded windcheater and a unique opportunity to be a part of this prestigious tournament in what will be a memorable year for Welsh golf.”

Volunteers of all ages, from 18 years upwards, are able to register for the tournament and are needed to work behind the scenes, and inside the ropes, assisting with scoring, ball-spotting and crowd marshalling.

Aled Jones, Secretary of Conwy Golf Club, commented, “We are delighted to be hosting this event which attracts major names from the golfing world to North Wales and which will help raise the profile of Conwy. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in golf to become part of an international tournament.”
