Club Membership
The membership year of the golf club runs from 1st April to 31st March. There are five main categories of members at Conwy Golf Club these being Full Gents, Full Ladies, Seniors, Juniors and House Members. The total membership of the Club at present is approximately 1,326.
The competition day for full gents is generally a Saturday but some competitions are also played on Sundays during the season. The Ladies day is on a Thursday, the tee being reserved from 10.45 a.m. to 2.15 p.m. They also have priority on that Thursday evening 5.00 to 6.00 p.m. for working ladies..
From April to September the Ladies on several Tuesdays have competitions which run from 12.00 to 2.00 p.m. The Senior Section ,when they hold competitions, have the tee up to 10.00 a.m. on Mondays. The criteria for being a Senior Member of the club is that the person shall be 60 years of age or over and be fully or partly retired. This is a thriving and well supported section of the golf club having over 75 members.
The Juniors, of which there are 95, are well catered for at Conwy and are well organised by Mr. Gwynfor Jones. He runs several competitions during the year, these are held during school holidays and generally run from 9.15 to 10.15 in the mornings, see fixture sheet for actual dates.
